About StoryKeek

StoryKeek is a free web tool for opening public Snapchat content in a browser. You type a public username, the profile loads, and you can watch or save what that account has already published. There is no account to create and nothing to install.

What we built and why

Snapchat publishes public profiles to the web, but reaching them normally means installing the app, handing over a phone number and signing up. That is a lot of friction for someone who was sent one link and wants to look at it once.

The second reason is the viewer list. Opening a story in the app records your username against it, and the person who posted can read that list at any time. Plenty of people are happy to watch and would rather not announce it. Loading the page from our side removes that step without changing anything for the account owner.

What StoryKeek does not do

Being clear about the limits is more useful than a long feature list.

• It cannot open private accounts. A private profile publishes nothing to the web, so there is nothing for any tool to read.
• It cannot recover snaps that have already expired.
• It does not read chats, friend lists or anything that sits behind a login.
• It will never ask you for a Snapchat password. If a site like this asks, close the tab.

How we handle your data

We do not ask you to register, and we do not keep a record of the usernames people search for. There is no profile to build and no history to sell. Our privacy policy sets out the detail.

Switching your Snapchat account to private stops it being reachable within minutes. If you want it blocked here directly, use the profile removal page and we will handle it.
